About the role:
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, an Operator III is responsible for the effective operation of plant machinery. To qualify as an Operator III you must be able to meet and maintain the skill qualifications for 5 or more pieces of production machinery.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensures that all machine processes are performed according to operating specifications Ensures that all product ingredients are loaded into equipment to the correct levels Perform equipment set-up and adjustments for processing Manage/balance actual product flow through machines accordingly Visually monitor machinery and product Equipment maintenance and cleaning Has responsibility for the sanitation of the working area Cross-train in all other areas of operation Committed to providing a safe food product Works within all regulatory requirements Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements Must comply with all OSHA standards Perform all other related duties per management direction
About you:
High School Education or equivalent Food Manufacturing experience preferred High computer literacy Knowledge / experience with PLC and SAP a plus Ability to multi-task and work independently Team player with good communication skills Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted Must be able to work in high temperature areas for short periods of time Must be able to climb stairs and walk freely around the building
