**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator and Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
This role involves operating heavy equipment and performing light maintenance tasks. Candidates will be responsible for operating equipment for a portion of their shift and conducting routine maintenance tasks during the remainder.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate heavy equipment for approximately 3 hours daily, including pulling 'the wall' in and out for 1 1/2 hours at the start and end of the shift.
+ Perform light maintenance tasks such as pre-trip inspections, washing machines, fluid changes, and general cleaning.
+ Assist diesel technicians with various tasks.
+ Handle downtime effectively and be prepared for additional tasks as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Valid driver's license
+ Experience with heavy equipment operation
+ Basic knowledge of maintenance and inspection procedures
+ Ability to use hand tools and mechanical equipment
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Experience in mechanical assembly is advantageous
+ Ability to read schematics and use power tools
+ Mechanically inclined

**Work Environment**
The position is based inside a warehouse and may involve some work in traffic. You will work in varying weather conditions, so be prepared for both hot and cold environments. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and use hand tools regularly. The shift is from 12:30pm to 9pm, with the potential for about 10 hours of overtime per week if needed.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DALLAS, TX.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
