You’ll gain valuable experience working with: + Gas turbines and high-speed reciprocating engines + Medium voltage generators and power distribution systems + Environmental controls and distributed control systems You’ll also support construction projects, troubleshoot equipment, and analyze data to solve technical challenges—all while growing into a respected leader among your peers. What You’ll Do As a key member of our shift operations team, you’ll be responsible for: + Monitoring and maintaining facility equipment during assigned shifts + Operating and troubleshooting gas turbines, generators, and power distribution systems + Responding to operational issues in real-time and collaborating with team members to resolve them + Performing inspections, calibrations, and preventative maintenance + Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and environmental standards + Keeping accurate records and logs throughout your shift + Supporting construction and commissioning activities as needed What You’ll Bring Required for All Levels: + High School Diploma or GED + Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record + Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and travel between locations + Ability to work in extreme conditions and elevated areas with PPE + Strong organizational and interpersonal skills + Commitment to safety and operational excellence Preferred Qualifications by Level: + Technician I: 6+ months of mechanical or technical experience, or internship with Associate degree + Technician II: 2+ years of related experience, preferably in oil & gas + Technician III: 3+ years of technician experience, preferably in oil & gas + Technician Sr: 6+ years of experience with similar equipment or facilities; Associate degree preferred Tech Skills That Set You Apart + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications + Familiarity with Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) + Ability to embrace new technologies and drive operational efficiency Work Environment & Schedule + Work in a variety of conditions, including extreme temperatures, loud areas, and confined spaces + Lift up to 50 lbs (team lift for heavier loads) + Perform physical tasks like standing, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting for extended periods + Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts, with proper PPE + Use hand tools regularly + Be available for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duty + Expect 10–12 hour shifts with potential overtime + Travel between locations with occasional overnight stays #LI-RS1 Why Choose Williams?
