As an Operations Technician at the EMD Electronic Facility in Carlsbad, CA in the Packaging Department you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineers, chemists, and maintenance technicians, to troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize production processes. Also monitor and control production processes to ensure efficient and safe operations, troubleshooting any issues that arise. A Operations Technician will follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment. Specific Responsibilities Include:

Your Role:

Operate and maintain chemical processing equipment and machinery including pumps, Lin dewers, vacuums, torque wrenches, pallet jack and other related equipmentEffectively document and record production data, including batch records, operating parameters, and test resultsAssist in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce wasteCollaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineers, chemists, and maintenance technicians, to troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize production processesPerform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, including cleaning, calibration, and minor repairsKnowledge of chemical processing principles, equipment, and proceduresExcellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and protocolsProficient in analyzing and interpreting data, including conducting basic statistical analysisAbility to troubleshoot and solve technical problems in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production targets and deadlinesGood understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to chemical processingFamiliarity with computerized systems and software used in process monitoring and data recording

Physical Attribute:

Able to handle containers with unassisted up to 50lbsAble to stand for the full time shift 4-6 hours Wear all PPE (gloves, apron, lab coat, safety shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection when needed.)

 This is a Day-Shift position: Hours of operations 5am-1:30pm Tuesday- Saturday  

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED 1+ years’ experience as a Chemical Process Technician, manufacturing, or production environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other engineering disciplinesKnowledge of safety protocols and proceduresExperience in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and written work instructionsExperience using SAP and Microsoft suite including (Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint)Experience using hand tools and power tools. Able to work in team environment, as well as independentlyAbility to meet or exceed the Company's attendance and punctuality standardsPossess good problem-solving skillsStrong sense of professionalism and work ethic Well-organized and good on housekeeping

 

$25.00-$41.00 an hour
