Join a large, international organization that offers endless opportunities for growth! As an Operations Team Leader at UPS, you will manage a team dedicated to optimizing logistics operations. What You’ll Do Working in two shifts from 06:00 – 15:00 and 15:00 – 0:00, you will oversee the daily operations within your logistics team. Your responsibilities will include addressing process improvements, safety protocols, staffing, and training, while coordinating efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve all set KPIs. You will manage a team of logistics clerks, processing and following up on customer orders, and monitoring shipments to ensure everything is running smoothly. You’ll be the final check on all actions your team performs—confirming shipments are on track and that customers are kept informed. In this role, you will be responsible for staffing planning, managing costs related to operational activities, and generating reports to ensure all data is processed accurately and timely. What you’ll need + Secondary vocational education (MBO 4 level in the Netherlands). + A few years of management working experience. + Knowledge of and experience in working with database and PC applications (Excel), as well as Outlook. Experience with our two main systems Cargowise and CargO Mount is a plus. + Effective interpersonal skills. You’re able to communicate at all levels and know that clear communication really is key. + A helicopter view: you can keep an overview and quickly see the urgency of certain matters. Business proficiency in English, both oral and in writing. Not only you’re part of an international team, but almost all communication with customers is in English.
