Job Description:
This job is responsible for overseeing the Operations team and ensuring they meet deadlines, execute, and coordinate tasks. Key responsibilities include supporting continuous business improvements, reviewing operations procedures, implementing changes, ensuring adherence to operations procedures, providing guidance to employees, handling exception requests, and referring more complex problems to a senior manager. Job expectations include having an awareness of foundational operations and familiarity in a specific product line.
Responsibilities:
The Global Payment Operations (GPO) organization delivers global wire transfers and ACH payments for internal and external bank clients and supports end-to-end payment execution and investigations for transactions initiated through various channels.The team also provides sanctions screening on transactions for multiple products, in accordance with policies established by the Global Economic Sanctions Compliance team.Resolves day-to-day problems and executes deliverables within the business unitProvides functional expertise knowledge to projects or initiatives relating to the business unitManages team workload and provides general oversight and direction to teamMaintains internal, operational, and financial controls and works within risk appetite of the business unitReviews processes to ensure they are efficient and implements process improvement opportunitiesRequired Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of operational accounting experience along with working knowledge of processes to include applicable policies and regulationsPrevious experience with general ledgerProficient skills utilizing MS ExcelThorough understanding of debits and creditsAbility to multi-task and meet specific performance goalsExcellent problem solving skillsDetailed oriented, self-motivated, assertiveDemonstrates ability to work flexible schedules and adapt quickly to changeDemonstrates leadership skills consistentlyMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsWork well in a team environment as well as independentlyExcellent research, analytical & decision making skillsAbility to work overtime as neededDesired Qualifications:
