Responsibilities As a member of the Operations Support Team, the Operations Support Specialist will work under the general direction of the Operations Support Manager and in coordination with multiple parties to assists in the plan development, tracking and task execution of workforce related transition plans.  The Operations Support Specialist will primarily be focused on supporting facility, equipment and technology needs within such projectsProvides assistance with planning and coordinating team(s) activities to manage and implement interrelated projects from initiation to final operational stagePlans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the project, with a special focus on tasks related to facilities, equipment and information technologySupports the project team(s) in determining customer requirements and translating requirements into operational plansIdentifies and coordinates additional resources to meet project needs and requirementsAssists with contingency plans to address schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, and work requirementsMeets live and/or via phone/video with management, sponsors, and project teams to review project scope/progress and resolve project issuesAssists in preparing management for transition from implementation to operating stageMonitors and evaluates quality of performance and product from all work within scope of responsibilityAssists with accurately estimating and planning the work of teams or project groups within agreed policiesProduces work plans according to required standardsWorks with colleagues to produce/recommend/develop long-term plansFosters an environment of continuous improvementVigilantly explores ways to increase efficiencies and productivity, reducing waste, and reducing costsCoordinates, communicates and tracks progress on tasks assigned or supported by internal Information Technology, TSS Purchasing, Leasing, Operations and Service Delivery Team, among other internal parties that may be involved in individual projectsMonitors and reports on the progress of the resolution of high impact problems according to established standardsHandles those exceptions relating to schedules, working methods, resources, staff matters, or technical difficultiesPasses decisions clearly outside scope upward, including proposed solutions whenever appropriateAdvises on and justifies proposed configuration specifications, strategic plans, and tactical plans, affecting service delivery and on time deliveryWrites and speaks fluently on all aspects of workCommunicates effectively, and in accordance with protocols, with users/customers, colleagues two to three levels up/down and across a range of disciplines, and all levels of managementAssists with negotiations with and functions as a liaison between functional partners, users, and suppliersAll activities will be tracked on the project management system to ensure accountability and transparency Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2 years’ experience in providing Information Technology, equipment and facilities support/project management or an equivalent combination of education experienceDemonstrated organization and planning skills; demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and deliver multiple or complex projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to resolve problems independently and escalate appropriatelyCustomer service focused with strong written, verbal and organization skills requiredKnowledge of company internal parties and processes/steps for establishing a new contract is preferred. Also knowledge to support changes and new rollouts in existing operations is preferredExcellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
