Operations Support Specialist

The Operations Support Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the daily activities that keep plant operations running efficiently. You will collaborate with the sales, operations, and supply chain teams.

What You’ll Do

As the Operations Support Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the daily activities that keep plant operations running efficiently. You will collaborate with the sales, operations, and supply chain teams. Other dutied include:

Performing inventory transactions between Dyno Nobel sitesActively participating in inventory counts with production teams and entering data in SAPTracking production data, including raw material consumptionCollaborating with procurement to maintain raw material levelsCreating purchase orders and setting up vendors in SAPEntering invoices for accounts payable in SAPCoordinating logistics with transport partners for explosive product distributionPreparing documentation for product transport, including hazardous materials documentationDeveloping general knowledge to back up other Canada East team members during absencesComplying with all government regulations and internal company policiesResponding to staff inquiries and providing necessary informationEnsuring complete and timely order deliveriesPerforming related administrative and clerical tasksComply with all government regulation (including NRCan, TDG, OH&S and WHMIS) and company policies (including ISO and MSA standards)

 

What We’re Looking For:

College/University Business related degree is preferred

2+ years of experience in a medium to large company

SAP experience is required

Strong communication, teamwork skills and  High attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
