Operations Support Officer (Payroll Clerk)

Job Duties: Maintain employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential. Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data upon request. Update payroll records by entering changes in Bank information, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers. Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, and leave. Print pay slips, salary cheques and TD4 slips at the outlined dates specified by the payroll department. Prepare New Hire Stipends and the distribution of said stipends. Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee taxes and employee’s and employer's National Insurance payments. Maintain good knowledge of all statutory regulations and changes of said regulations from time-to-time. Be versed in the general payroll process as well as the outlined deadlines for salary computation and payments to the bank. Be able to conduct telephone correspondences with employees, co-workers and the Financial Institutions. Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information about the problem and liaising with your Supervisor for any approvals. Attend to employee payroll needs by answering relevant questions and requests. Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed and when called upon to do so Comply with the responsibilities detailed in the station's QHSE Management System Manual and the manuals under your responsibility and management, ensuring compliance with the requirements in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISAGO standards.
