The logistics operations supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end logistics and supply chain processes for Solihull plant. This includes managing transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of material. This also includes leading our LLP, maintenance and consumbales operation, WIP support teams and scrap and reclaim functions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You'll assist in the supervision of the team to provide the logistical operations for all material planning, flow and logistics to deliver stores requirements to the Solihull plant.
• Help to oversee the shipping and delivery of material in addition to the parts reclaimation process and also through our maintenance and consumables operations
• Process investigation with problem solving
• Environmental robustness within the operation
• Maintaining the data integrity for the parts
• Plant liaison for scrap and substance issues
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
• The critical operational KPI’s that the individual will need to focus on and drive on a daily basis are
- Zero harm
- Audit compliance – eg. SWC, 5s, SHARP, SBI, UTAC/Company quality
- Volume Losses
- Misfits
- Inbound and outbound material processing timeframes
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Ideally, you'll have experience of working within Automative Logistics as well as this you'll:
• Previous experience leading a team
• Experience with dangerous goods and understanding of legal requirements
• Good analytical skills and statistical ability
• Experience or knowledge of process improvement
• Understanding of material substance management – eg. Dangerous goods training
• Delivering programme plans on time ensuring flawless launches and operations.
• Ensuring robust compliance to audit standards and operational processes
• Delivery of area scorecard metrics
