Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. The Operations Specialist, Podcast and Livestreaming, and Emerging Formats will support Versant’s approach to these critical pieces of our media portfolio.  They get their hands dirty – supporting the production of original podcast and livestreamed content across a robust multiplatform portfolio of news, sports, lifestyle and entertainment content.  They will be tasked with emerging digital production challenges– as platforms change and the next big thing emerges, you’ll be there with your laptop, gear, and limitless persistence to figure it out. Then, you’ll partner with our journalists and creators to ensure they can craft world class content for audiences across our portfolio. They will be a regular presence in newsrooms, editorial meetings, control rooms, and remote productions to ensure they maintain a firsthand understanding of what’s working, pain points, and opportunities for innovation.  Responsibilities + Contribute to the development of new podcast and livestream programming  + Directly support livestreams, including set up and break down of production equipment, configuring and operating software switchers and encoders, and other livestreaming technology. + Partner with production leadership to design, teach and enforce production workflows and technical best practices + Support ongoing production needs across the brands + Source, contract with and maintain relevant hardware and software platforms across teams + Edit audio and video formats as needed. + Minimum of 2+ years in a production environment. + Demonstrated experience working with a diverse team of stakeholders across departments to carry projects from ideation to completion + Proven understanding of live and recorded video, podcast style and workflow  + Familiarity with the podcast and livestream media landscape + Incredible curiosity about media production and a willingness to pick up a user manual to learn a new tool or technique. Additional Information  Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
