We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Recycling Facility at Arrow Road. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day plant operations, ensuring safety standards, maximizing efficiency, and driving performance across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are consistently metSupervise, coach, and support a team of over 100 employees including supervisors and frontline employeesMonitor production KPIs, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement process improvementsControl labor, maintenance, and inventory costs while maintaining operational excellenceEnsure full compliance with Ministry of Labour (MOL), Ministry of Environment (MOE), and internal policiesOversee logistics, scheduling, and load management to maintain service levels and plant efficiencyMaintain accurate reporting of production, downtime, and inventory dataFoster a strong safety culture and positive working environment focused on accountability and teamworkIdentify and support staff development needs through training and performance management

What You Bring

5+ years of leadership experience in operations or plant management, preferably in the recycling or waste management industryA safety-focused leadership style that emphasizes compliance, risk mitigation, and building a strong culture of accountability across all areas of operation.Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and drive results in a fast-paced environmentDirect experience managing P&L responsibilities and making data-driven financial decisionsKnowledge of production systems, material handling, and heavy equipment operationStrong understanding of health & safety regulations (MOL/MOE)Experience analyzing and acting on operational data and KPIsExcellent communication, organizational, and team-building skillsValid G driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
