Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for optimizing plant productivity and developing strategies to ensure the effective management, proper operation, and full control of the supply chain. This includes the strategic management of storage, manufacturing, logistics, and customer service functions to drive business growth.
Also accountable for ensuring the proper maintenance of facilities and equipment required for the company’s operations, as well as leading the continuous improvement of processes within the Operations Department. Responsibilities include full P&L ownership, inventory management, process improvement, regulatory compliance, safety, and end-to-end oversight of the complete supply chain process.
This position is part of the Operations department located in Santiago, Chile, and will be on-site.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Effectively lead cross-functional teams, driving the planning, execution, and communication of the company’s operational projects.
·Comply with the company’s established safety, health, and environmental programs, procedures, instructions, regulations, and other standards within the Management System.
Manage controlled substances regulated by the Ministry of the Interior with special care, preventing inventory discrepancies for these specific materials, and ensure proper monthly consumption reporting to the authorities in coordination with the Legal Department.
Assign and communicate occupational health and safety responsibilities to employees within the scope of their roles.
Ensure the supervision of occupational health and safety practices.
Collaborate with the regional and global Operations teams to design, implement, and maintain global supply chain and production initiatives.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards for facilities and all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Manage all requirements to ensure timely and proper execution of foreign trade logistics operations.
Ensure the integrity of ERP system data and maintain continuous, efficient operation at all times, controlling warehouse inventory reports to guarantee reliable and accurate reporting.
Implement inventory management tools and strategies to optimize working capital turnover.
