Job Summary: Plan, coordinate and supervise all operational Facility Services activities. Provide opportunities and material to assist in training and guidance to all staff members using continuous performance improvement techniques to accomplish department objectives, driving patient and employee satisfaction, regulatory compliance and developing excellent working relationships with all internal customers. Provide input to the department director in all planning, operational, and budgeting functions, including vendor management and contract negotiations. Work in conjunction with the Construction Department and provide Project Management duties as required. Provide input in controlling cost to ensure the department is aligned with the direction of the organization. Be knowledgeable of TJC Environment of Care, Life Safety and Emergency Management standards and ensure that all elements of performance are met. Work in conjunction with Human Resources to effectively recruit, develop and retain a stable and competent workforce; work with peers, senior level leadership, physicians, and clinicians to resolve operational matters; and, work effortlessly with labor-oriented work groups to accomplish difficult FS functions or operations.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience with 3-5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience required.
+ CHFM, electrical or mechanical license performed but not required.
+ Strong interpersonal relations, financial and planning skills.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Excellent customer service skills required.
+ Computer skills include Microsoft Office Suite and a demonstrated ability to learn departmental and organizational programs, including GroupWise, Eappraisals, Net learning, Position Manager, Quantros, McKesson, Ework, Kronos and TMS. Initiative/problem-solving skills are required to manage and foster a team environment.
+ Knowledge of FS policies and procedures and have demonstrated the ability to deal tactfully with hospital employees and the public.
+ Ability to teach and train lead personnel and staff.
+ Available to work any shift when needed.
+ Ability to oversee CaroMont's off-campus facilities.
