Manage the warehouse’s operational activities including budgeting, labor scheduling, space and equipment, safety and security, housekeeping, and sanitation. Ensure people, process and technology enable meeting all customer service standards. **Key Responsibilities** + Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team by assigning responsibilities, providing feedback, and ensuring overall productivity and efficiency. + Drive continuous improvement in daily operations, including shipment verification, merchandise handling, disposition, and inventory accuracy. + Collaborate closely with Sales, Inventory Control, and Operations Support teams to ensure optimal product availability and workflow. + Forecast and plan long-term labor needs based on sales trends and management input. + Achieve key operational goals by meeting company-defined KPIs related to cost, productivity, customer satisfaction, profitability, and team performance. + Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations—fostering a culture of safety across the facility. + Review and analyze operational reports to identify trends, resolve issues, and recommend performance-enhancing solutions. + Build strong, cross-functional partnerships with departments such as Finance, HR, Sales, and Continuous Improvement to support overall business objectives. **Additional Responsibilities** + Operate and work around warehouse machinery and material handling equipment as needed. **Qualifications & Requirements** + Minimum of **5 years** of experience in warehouse operations or warehouse management. + Proficiency in **Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)** . + Proven leadership and team development skills, with a focus on employee engagement, customer service, communication, and planning. + Ability to effectively present information and interact with customers, clients, and internal teams. + Strong computer skills, including proficiency in **Microsoft Office Suite** (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). + Willingness and ability to work in varying temperature environments: + **Cold storage:** as low as -20°F / -25°C + **Dry storage:** up to 100°F / 37°C + Must be able to lift a minimum of **40 lbs (18 kg)** ; weight requirements may vary by facility. + Flexible to work various shifts and schedules, including weekends, as business needs require. + Comfortable working in environments with **varying noise levels** , which may be loud at times.
