Operations Manager

We are currently seeking a professional Operations Manager to be based out of our Brisbane Office to provide leadership for our Queensland Operations across Project Managers, Contract Managers, and all other relevant Managers within the operation for all safety, people, operational planning, and financial management activities to ensure a safe, efficient business delivering maximum profitability.

Providing strategic leadership across our Power Generation, Mining Ports and Industrials businesses you will provide robust oversight over our bid and tender function to ensure optimum outcomes, whilst leveraging on your strong stakeholder relationship skills to lead the partnerships with our key GOC clients.

Reporting to the General Manager other responsibilities and accountabilities include;

· Lead Safety, Health, and Environment across the operation ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures

· Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives to advance the business objectives, and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organisation

· Lead, motivate, manage, and develop a team of employees, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and development

· Continually scope for new work outside of existing contracts to add value to the client’s business by providing a diversified range of services

· Review all project, operational and business costs and take corrective action as required

· Oversee maintenance programming, cost, time, and quality control, purchasing, contract and all general administration, as well as the activities of subcontractors

· Coach and mentor all direct reports on all aspects of their role, facilitating effective co-operation and trust, encouraging the free exchange for information, ideas and techniques between the various operations teams, leading and motivating them to be aligned to the same team goals and business objectives

About You

· Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Engineering

· Project Management qualifications

· Considerable experience in Contract Management

· Extensive experience in leading large teams across a significant regional multi-site portfolio

· Experience with Asset Management, Facilities Management and Overhauls

· Flexibility to adapt and respond to changes emerging in a rapid paced environment

· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to organise and prioritise demands, and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously

· High level of personal resilience, with excellent conflict resolution skills, together with customer focused, team oriented attitude

Our line of business is primarily project driven around high-volume Outages, Shutdowns and plant upgrades. You would need to thrive in a veryfast pacedenvironment as part of ahigh performingand collaborative team.
