**Job Title: Operations Manager** **Job Description** We are seeking an Operations Manager for a Just in Time (JIT) manufacturing facility in Kansas City, KS. This role involves managing the day-to-day activities and driving continual improvement of the production team. The Operations Manager will assess, guide, manage, and prioritize all aspects of the shop floor operation to ensure adherence to production schedules and meet customer requirements. **Responsibilities** + Lead the operations group to meet or exceed all department objectives. + Provide written action plans for corrective actions and ongoing improvement. + Ensure accurate reporting of all production metrics including efficiency, scrap, downtime, and FTO. + Facilitate team member involvement in corrective actions and continual improvement initiatives. + Comply with company-directed policies and procedures developed per the quality system. + Drive accountability at all levels of responsibility. + Adhere to all quality requirements as outlined in control plans. + Lead department meetings and promote continual improvement projects. + Oversee initiation and execution of engineering changes. + Promote an atmosphere of safety, employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and teamwork. + Comply with corporate, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations. **Essential Skills** + Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or management discipline or equivalent combination of work and education. + Minimum 5 years of related experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, or JIT assembly and sequencing environment. + Effective communication skills with all levels within the business and executive leadership. + Excellent leadership abilities. + Strong organizational and communication skills. + Proficient computer skills, including Word and Excel. + Good written and mathematical skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Good team working skills. + Familiarity with quality specifications and documentation in an automotive environment is a plus. **Work Environment** The work environment is a JIT Facility, which involves adhering to just-in-time manufacturing processes. **Why Work Here?** Our company fosters a culture of safety, employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, providing a supportive and engaging work environment.
