**About the Role**
Our Operations teams work where Uber's technology meets the real world. We own country-specific business outcomes and bridge our overall business strategy with local needs.
We are looking for a sharp, highly motivated individual to join our operations team based in Lisbon. These roles within the operations team require a combination of project management, analytical ability, problem-solving and interpersonal skills to work together with key stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to work on both strategy and execution - taking projects from idea through to implementation.
The role will work closely with several operational and functional teams including EMEA central operations teams, Safety, Marketing, Legal, Business Development, Policy & Comms teams as well as other HQ stakeholders across the business.
**What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points**
\-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ----
1. **Driver needs** \- Use internal and external data to better understand the mobility needs of existing and prospective drivers (e.g., what barriers are there to drive or to adopt Electric Vehicles, how we can make driving even safer, or how we improve and continue raising the bar on compliance)
2. **Go to market**\- Work with the relevant Ops and Functional teams to define go-to market strategies (e.g., Marketplace, Marketing, CRM, Performance Marketing, Comms, etc.).
3. **Data analytics & problem solving** \- Define which data is needed to understand a problem, query it, and use analytics to identify issues/opportunities related to the problem at hand (ex: performance of products/features), understand the root causes, propose solutions, drive decisions, implement solutions and track results.
4. **Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management** \- Engage with other operations teams and functional teams (e.g,. Marketing, Comms, Policy, Uber for Business, CRM, Legal, etc.) that will contribute to the successful delivery of your work.
5. **Project management and execution** \- Plan and project manage multiple projects and have the ability to execute in a constantly changing, complex environment.
6. **Product/feature launches** \- Collaborate closely with our EMEA and HQ Product teams to test and roll out new features or products that address customer needs
\-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ----
1. A BSc or MSc in a **quantitative field,** such as economics, mathematics or engineering
2. Proficient in **Excel** or Other spreadsheet manipulation tool
\-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ----
1. **SQL knowledge preferred** and if not, must possess an aptitude to learn quickly as this will quickly form part of your day-to-day.
2. **AI-adopter** \- used to leveraging Gen-AI to increase impact and efficiency
3. Strong **analytically** but also good **communicator** and **empathetic**
