The Job You Will Perform:

The Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) role is to provide leadership and support to operations area manager, front line leaders and operating crews to ensure continuity of operations especially in regards to maintenance execution. The OMC is responsible for the maintenance activities required for maintaining and continuously improving process and equipment to ensure the reliability for the Business Unit. This position also works closely with the Superintendent, APM, AMM, Department Safety Lead, Reliability Engineers, Planners, Maintenance FLLs and Operations FLLs to ensure operational and maintenance activities are scheduled, coordinated and safely executed to drive safety and process reliability, and that other Key Performance Indicator goals are met. The OMC plays a major role in setting expectations and holding both teams and individuals accountable for results in a manner consistent with IP Core Values and ensuring full implementation and adherence to GMS elements.

The OMC reports to the Business Unit Manager.

  Responsibilities Include:

Managing the MWS team for effectiveness in reliability metrics Driving efforts to proactively incorporate the following elements into the daily/weekly Process Area MWS process:  Basic Care, Preventative Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, RCFA, Precision Maintenance, IEPM, Lubrication, and Facility Preservation. Work directly with Area Process Manager to coordinate their area, both routine and annual outages. Leading the MWS process for the Business Unit. Facilitating all MWS meetings (Daily, weekly planning and scheduling, and all outage planning meetings). Reviewing, screening, approving, classifying all notifications. Defending the planned schedule from unnecessary break-ins. Maintain/Own the work order backlog.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

B.S. degree in a related engineering field preferred. Equivalent experience is acceptable. Experience as a First Line Leader and/or Process Engineer/Technical Assistant preferred. Candidate must also have a basic understanding of how maintenance activities are managed through SAP including how a work request is created, planned, scheduled, and executed. Knowledgeable in MS Project and MS Excel. Candidate must have a solid understanding of area operations. This includes key understandings of the critical parameters that impact safety, environmental, costs, quality, and customers. A qualified candidate will possess the skill set to fill in for the Area Manager as needed.
