Compensation Range

Hourly: $16.45 - $21.40 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

As part of the Consumer Loan Servicing team, you’ll provide back-office operations support for a variety of specialty lending products. Consumer Loan Servicing Representatives remove roadblocks and complete operational tasks that allow Commerce to meet the customer’s lending needs. Operational tasks performed by Consumer Loan Servicing Representatives include loan document preparation, loan processing, booking, and research. If you are a detail-oriented person with the ability to work quickly and accurately, this is the team for you!  

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to provide support to a variety of specialty lending products.

Essential Functions

Assist with booking all direct non real-estate loans same day and ensure all loans are processed accurately

Assist in manually booking all private banking loans and lines and ensure all loans are processed accurately

Identify loans that failed to book and manually book loans in the appropriate system

Responsible for the execution, verification of lien perfection for all direct and indirect loans as well as completeness

Make necessary corrections to the loan system related to the collateral used for the loan

Assist in processing daily macro’s

Ensure compliance with department policies and regulations while accuracy and production goals are maintained

Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to learn or basic knowledge of the consumer loan servicing line of business

Excellent customer service skills and ability to research answers and solutions

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Basic level proficiency of loan servicing systems; for example, Shaw, Origenate, Temenos, etc.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent combination or education & experience required. Associate’s degree in Business Administration preferred

1+ year banking, financial services,  or related experience required

1+ year of experience with auto titling, or consumer loan documentation preferred

*Hybrid Schedule: In office 2 days per week

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $16.45 to $21.40 per hour.
