Operations Excellence Manager

Our Operations Excellence team plays a critical role in driving Continuous Improvement, Operations Excellence, and QIP Transformation initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and deliver exceptional value to our customers\. **THE WORK** As the Operations Excellence Manager, you will oversee the operational aspects of ongoing improvement and transformation projects across the organization\. You will: Lead companywide initiatives, including the Thinaer asset tracking project, 1LMX integration, and Digital Transformation \(DX\) for the Avionics Product Center\. Serve as the liaison between cross\-functional teams and Operations leadership, ensuring seamless collaboration and project execution\. Oversee subordinate recruitment, selection, training, performance evaluation, assignments, salary administration, and recognition/disciplinary actions\. Monitor the status of multiple projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports\. Identify and resolve project issues to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives\. Develop and implement tools to track progress \(e\.g\., CIC, Kaizen smashup, QIP tracker\) and intervene when necessary to maintain project momentum\. **WHO WE ARE** We are innovators and problem solvers committed to operational excellence\. Proven experience managing Continuous Improvement, Operations Excellence, or process transformation initiatives in a manufacturing or aerospace environment\. Demonstrated leadership experience managing direct reports, including hiring, training, performance management, and employee development\. Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies\. Experience managing budgets, schedules, and cross\-functional project teams\. **Desired Skills:** Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization\. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent certification\. Experience with Digital Transformation and advanced manufacturing technologies\. Familiarity with Lockheed Martin’s 1LMX framework and enterprise digital tools\. Proven success in driving cultural change to support continuous improvement initiatives\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
