Operations Engineer, Global Supply Chain
**Summary:** Meta is seeking an Operations Engineer to join the Infrastructure Supply Chain and Engineering (ISCE) team to focus on operations optimization for all of Meta’s infrastructure (Servers, Data Centers, Network) supply chain. This role will focus on optimizing supply chain operations at variance altitudes to balance delivery, flexibility, supply competence, and cost, from base components through manufacturing to finished goods, in an environment of continual product introduction, directly managing billions of investment annually. We will do this primarily by building software and mathematical optimization models, and automated tracking of key performance metrics to drive desired strategic and operational outcomes. The team is uniquely positioned to develop and optimize our infrastructure supply chain operations at the most strategic levels with company level impact. This role is very cross-functional and provides an opportunity to work with our supply chain partners and a variety of engineering and business teams to power the rapid growth of Meta’s products. This role will help to ensure optimal deployment and operation of our infrastructure from both a cost and technology perspective, with millions of servers, gigawatts of data center capacity, and cutting-edge technology including advanced AI. **Required Skills:** Operations Engineer, Global Supply Chain Responsibilities: 1. Own infrastructure supply chain operations for Meta (as part of Meta’s overall capacity delivery plan): including servers, network, and data center equipment from components through manufacturing to finished goods 2. Design improvements to software systems to optimize supply chain operations efficiency and accuracy, partner with software engineers to implement and contribute code yourself 3. Develop and analyze business, manufacturing, and logistics data and scenarios to solve complex problems in manufacturing operations and hardware logistics and delivery 4. Develop and apply stochastic models to simulate complex manufacturing systems, including production capacity, throughput, and material flow 5. Analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks, optimize production, and improve overall system performance 6. Contribute to end to end supply chain processes (as part of Meta’s overall capacity delivery plan), methodologies, and data to deliver an executable and optimized supply plan 7. Manage and resolve critical escalations and exceptions in all areas of the supply chain 8. Build mathematical models to perform simulation and optimization studies of manufacturing flow & capacity considering material inputs, supply partners, and logistics 9. Work cross-functionally to define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models and make recommendations to drive change and optimization at the most strategic levels **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 10. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience 11. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience 12. 5+ years of experience in operations research, industrial engineering, or related field 13. 3+ years of experience in coding/scripting languages such as Python, R, Java, C, C++, PHP 14. 3+ years of experience in supply chain management - planning, manufacturing, operations, inventory, etc 15.
