Chartres plant is THE Coty luxury fragrance site. Based at 1 hour from Paris, in the center of Cosmetic Valley, Chartres factory is a place of choice to develop, industrialize and produce luxury fragrances. Chartres plant produces every year 65 millions units and is engaged in a 3 years growth and renovation journey with an inspiring ambition: Making “Chartres Le Luxe par Excellence” an effective reality and our pride.
ROLE AND DEPARTMENT : Production Director Chartres Factory, member of Plant Leadership Team
Coty is seeking a talented individual to join the leadership team of its plant located in Chartres. The role is part of plant Leadership Team and is directly reporting to the Site General Manager.
As Production Director, in your perimeter (making, packing and maintenance), you are responsible for
delivering production yearly commitments in safety, quality, service, cost, cash and people Building strong culture of excellence based on process and systems Defining a long term plan for production covering both master plan and organization Developing a pool of talents and more generally the next capability level of production peopleYou are a hands-on professional eager to support the teams in their daily challenges and also able to work strategically to build long term plan and capabilities.
This is a role for a leader with a strong focus on manufacturing and supply chain. The role covers a broad range of business activities and gives the opportunity to have a positive and visible impact in supply chain.
RESPONSABILITIES
Delivering production yearly commitments in safety, quality, service, cost, cash and people
Developing and sustaining a strong culture of safety Delivering expected level of quality and service with strong collaboration with planning in order to mitigate headwinds relative to forecast inaccuracy Delivering financials figures both for cost (conversion cost target achievement) and cash (contribution to inventory challenges and efficiency / predictability on capital expenditures) Developing demanding & fair management, open & respectful communication and capabilities required to build excellent and sustainable performanceBuilding strong culture of excellence based on process and systems
In strong collaboration with plant operational excellence leader, developing best in class manufacturing excellence approaches proper to guarantee predictable and excellent performance In strong collaboration with engineering and development teams, developing efficient project management practices and change management masteryDefining a long term plan for production covering both master plan and organization
In strong collaboration with site lead team and based on Zero Based Budget approach, acting as a key contributor to site master plan renewal and defining production master plan Defining target organization, associated required capabilities and leading production area transformationDeveloping a pool of talents and more generally the next capability level of production people
In strong collaboration with H.R. and in the frame of production transformation plan, defining clear roles and responsibilities, assessing current capabilities gaps and developing plan addressing gaps at all level of production organization In strong collaboration with plant operational excellence leader, developing talented pool of process engineers and young managers proper to sustain plant journey towards excellence and to feed supply chain talent pool.
