Operations Coordinator (Process Optimization, Automation, Data Analytics, Data Science)
Uber
**Operations Coordinator - The Amplify Team**
Uber is looking for an Operations Coordinator to coordinate work pipelines with stakeholders and team members, ensure efficient project delivery, and drive continuous improvements in operational excellence.
The scope spans data analytics, data science, process optimization, and automation, requiring a mix of organizational discipline, technical understanding, and Scrum practices.
**About the role**
You will be accountable for effective backlog management, ensuring the work is:
- defined with clear requirements that enable proper execution
- prioritized based on criteria such as impact, complexity, size, urgency
- distributed within the team according to planned capacity and capability
- delivered with the proper quality and in line with the original time estimates
- measured through key performance indicators and regularly reported to stakeholders
While this is an individual contributor role (without direct reports), you will own the backlog and be accountable for service quality, operational resilience, and the efficient delivery of projects under your coordination.
The Scrum framework will provide you guidance to coordinate work in an agile way.
You will ensure the use of Scrum is contextualized and adapted to the specificity of the work the Team performs.
You will drive continuous improvement by making small, functional enhancements that increase predictability, reduce risk, support goal achievement, and create value, all while fostering a positive team environment.
Your responsibilities will include organizing meetings and ceremonies, improving the use of tools like Jira, and creating documentation reporting the work of the team (e.g., performance reports) or its organization (e.g., workflows with approval, accountability, responsibility, and dependency mapping).
In coordination with stakeholders, you will be in charge of sourcing the work, preparing the pipeline and planning, estimating the workload and, along with managers, anticipating the capacities & competencies needed.
