Operations Coordinator - Fairmont Royal York

Position Overview

Operations Coordinators are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations. More specifically, they coordinate deliveries and pick-ups, plan short-term staffing and support technicians and sales staff both in the office and at events.  

Key Job Responsibilities 

Short-term staff planning 

• Schedule staff for events confirmed at the last minute

• Modify planning based on client needs and communicate these changes to technicians

• Complete long-term planning based on operational needs

Coordinate logistics

• Schedule personnel for deliveries and pick-ups

• Plan delivery and pick-up schedules on a daily basis

• Ensure maximum utilization of our truck fleet

• Rent trucks, as needed

Support for events 

• Answer calls from event technicians and help them find solutions to various problems

• Ensure that the chain of communication is always respected

• Be aware of the progress of operations

• Assist the technical staff during the preparation of events

Job Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in the audiovisual field

• Must be bilingual (French/English)

• Must have a driver's license

Hourly Pay Range: $22 - $28
The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives.

Work Environment

Warehouse

Work is performed in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust.  The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes.  Team members may use high-end audio visual equipment and electrical components.  Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
