Job DescriptionWe are seeking individuals with a passion for learning and an interest in manufacturing critical aerospace products. No prior practical experience is necessary as skills will be developed through the apprenticeship program.Our training partner, Gloucester Engineering Training (GET), located in Gloucester, offers hands-on practical training in the first year, followed by classroom-based learning in subsequent years. As part of the program, you will join the Ultra PCS team during half terms and summer breaks at GET College. The second year involves day releases to GET, along with rotations within operations to gain exposure to various production aspects.
Training will focus on achieving IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-A-610 qualifications, supplemented by bespoke product assembly courses at the Ultra PCS Technical Training Academy. A dedicated mentor will guide you through the operations team processes, emphasizing the manufacturing and testing of electronic and mechanical equipment.
Key aspects of the training include:
- Adhering to safety protocols
- Familiarization with product lines
- Interpretation of technical drawings
- Execution of automated test procedures
- Documenting competence evidence
