Operations And Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Operations and Maintenance TechnicianJob Description

Join a leading environmental consulting firm as a full-time Environmental Field Technician based in Miami. Collaborate with scientists and engineers on diverse projects including land redevelopment, electric utility work, remediation, chemical/petroleum spill management, and municipal solid waste landfill initiatives. As an Environmental Field Technician, you will adhere to regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and company protocols, exercising independent judgment to complete tasks and projects with minimal direction.

ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain groundwater remediation systems.Oversee well installation.Conduct groundwater sampling.Perform surface water sampling.Execute soil sampling and stockpile blending.Monitor air and vapor quality.Prepare detailed field notes.Conduct surveying tasks.Essential SkillsExperience in environmental remediation field work, including operation and maintenance of remediation systems.Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting machine parts and basic electrical work.Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to perform physically demanding fieldwork including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and solid judgment.Additional Skills & QualificationsCompletion of (or willingness to complete) a 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training.Experience with water or wastewater treatment operations.Work Environment

Work primarily outdoors under various weather conditions. Receive assignments from Project Managers and report administratively to an assigned supervisor. Work independently or with other staff to complete tasks. Transport equipment from the office to assigned sites using a company or rental vehicle. Tasks include carrying equipment such as a 25lb cooler, samples, shovel, and hand auger across large sites, requiring significant walking.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
