Operations Advisor (Offshore)

Airswift is seeking for an Operations Advisor (Offshore) to work with our client based in Qatar.
Job Purpose Advise and provide operational inputs to Project Management Team (PMT) & Offshore Start Up Division Manager to ensure project deliverables meet Operations expectations in terms of Safety, Operability, Reliability and Maintainability over the facility design life cycle.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent 10 years’ experience in gas operations including 3 years in various project development activities, i.e. commissioning and start-up. Extensive understanding of facility operational requirements in the areas of safety, operability, reliability & maintainability, environmental regulations, and safety systems. Ability to function effectively in a multi-cultural team. Leadership and consensus building skills. Computer literacy includes MS Office applications.
Key Accountabilities: Oversee execution of the Operations deliverables for assigned company project through daily interfaces with PMT, Operations Start-up Division Managers and the company permanent organization. Provide inputs to Offshore Start Up Division Manager for all “operations” related issues (Project Philosophies, PIDs, C&E charts, ESD logic diagrams, Spare parts, First fill, Operator Training System, Pipeline Management System, Emergency Pipeline Repair Strategy, Hand Over process and philosophies, SDMS Gate deliverables and Project Gate documents). Maintain appropriate issues register to identify areas where improvements and/or recovery plans are required. Review findings and corrective actions required from internal and external readiness and/or peer reviews, identify parties responsible and monitor closure. Provide monthly progress and stewardship reporting and identification of the key issues to Offshore Start up Division Manager. Facilitate lessons learned in the project design, identify areas for improvement and assist in providing and implementing the best practices where applicable. Ensure all lessons learned that are occurring in the construction, commissioning, start-up, and initial operations are being captured through management of the lesson learned database. Manage the risk assessment of deliverables, audit findings and readiness reviews findings to identify the priorities required for each responsible party. Coordinates actions to address risk mitigation requirements associated with new technologies that will be used in expansion projects. Facilitate Operations handover process and documentation from Project to Asset owner.
