**Please review the following job description:**
Manage the governance processes over design, execution, and implementation of Operational and Model Risk Transformation initiatives and program risk. Execute processes under the oversight of the Head of Operational Risk Governance and Transformation that inform stakeholders of Operational and Model Risk transformation initiatives execution status and risks, including support of corporate governance processes through results reported to Operational Risk Management Committee, Enterprise Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Manage processes to support oversight of Operational and Model Risk Transformation initiatives helping drive quality of risk execution activities. Focus will be on key foundational risk programs (RCSA, Control Testing, Third Party, Model, Change and Products and Services); scope will be dynamic based on execution priorities and progress. Inform and escalate results to the Head of Operational Risk Governance and Transformation for further escalation.
2. Manage processes to support the identification of thematic trends in execution deficiencies, determination of root causes and recommendations of remedial actions to inform risk execution activities.
3. Manage the design of the processes, tools and reporting for a highly effective governance function appropriately tailored to Operational and Model Risk. Focus will be to support oversight of ORM policies, issues management, risk metrics and reporting.
4. Execute reporting to ensure transparency of operational and model risk to Head of Operational Risk Governance and Transformation in support of Chief Operational and Model Risk Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Operational Risk Management Committee, other risk committees, senior risk officers, Executive Leadership, Board of Directors, LOB managers, as well as regulatory agencies.
5. Manage the ORM Risk Taxonomy, Risk Appetite Framework operational risk metrics and Key Risk Indicators.
6. Manage issues management reporting and monitoring for Operational Risk Management issues, driving accountability for timely remediation.
7. Manage ORM policies, creating expectations and timelines to ensure consistency, adequacy, and Policy and Procedure Management adherence.
8. Identify, onboard, and provide guidance and coaching to team members, supporting their ongoing development through meaningful, challenging responsibilities.
9. Provide targeted feedback to Operational and Model Risk Program Owners based on results of governance activities, track remedial actions, and monitor for sustainable execution under the oversight of the Head of Operational Risk Governance and Transformation. Successfully influence change in a manner consistent with Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values.
10. Execute processes to support the identification of executional best practices to inform Operational and Model Risk teams.
12. Support processes to proactively identify improvements to policies, procedures, practices, processes, and methodologies to support continuous improvement of risk execution.
**Required Qualifications:**

1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent education and related training or experience.
2. Ten years of relevant experience in Risk or Audit functions in a large regional or US financial services firm or commensurate experience as an examiner within the financial services industry.
3. Ten years of experience or equivalent proficiency in managing people with demonstrated high competency in recruiting, developing, and coaching/mentoring.
4. Excellent management skills including the ability to lead direct and indirect reports; excellent communication (verbal and written), and presentation and facilitation skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with ability to interact and communicate within all levels of organization and within public sector/governmental agencies.
5. Ability to work strategically and tactically, comfortable seeing and defining the “big picture” while managing details.
6. Strong business acumen and organizational agility.
7. Ability to influence, delivering tough messages and driving change in a manner consistent with Truist’s purpose, mission, and values.
8. Profound sense of ethics and the ability to deal with pressure from constituents.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
1. Direct experience in internal audit, oversight, or delivery of risk management programs in a large complex financial institution.
2. Demonstrated QA/QC governance experience
3. Experience with large transformational programs.
