Professionals within the Legal and Compliance Division (LCD) provide a wide range of services to our business units. They also strive to maintain cooperative relationships with governmental policy makers and the regulatory and self-regulatory agencies that govern the firm's businesses.
The Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Department forms the second line of defense for management of the firm's non-financial risks, which include Financial Crimes, market manipulation or abuse and Operational risk.
NFR Data & Analytics is a function in the Legal and Compliance Division responsible for designing and optimizing surveillance models, approaches and tools using advanced analytical techniques like supervised and unsupervised machine learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and evolving techniques like graph analytics. The surveillances and other tools help identify suspicious and/or illegal behaviors like money laundering, market manipulation, insider trading, unfair sales or trading practices and other financial crimes.
Position Description
The NFR Data & Analytics team is looking for an experienced professional to lead the Firm's Operational Mapping Program. With a background in consulting, financial services or a related industry, you will be passionate about designing and delivering effective enterprise-wide programs.
The Operational Mapping Program is central to the Firm's ability to effectively manage our inter-affiliate relationships. We work in conjunction with key stakeholders including Non-Financial Risk, Outsourcing, Third Party Vendor Management, Business Continuity, Resiliency and Recovery and Resolution Planning. You will be responsible for delivering a new suite of Operational Mapping capabilities across the enterprise in conjunction with our Technology and Business Partners.
As part of a team focused on the development of consumer-grade capabilities, you will be responsible for building, delivering and running core Operational Mapping solutions for our business partners. You will be able to build your skills in data-centric design techniques to deliver industry leading solutions, including the adoption of machine learning and GenAI.
Responsibilities:
> Lead the design and development of Operational Mapping capabilities to support the documentation of inter-affiliate process relationships and their operational dependencies
> Work with Operational Mapping stakeholders to understand and model core data requirements/relationships and to ensure these can be operationally met
> Act as Product Owner for technology solutions built to support the Operational Mapping Program including close liaison with our Technology teams
> Project Manage both business-as-usual and project-based activities across the global team
> Represent the Operational Mapping Program in relevant governance forums including leading our stakeholder working groups
> Educate our stakeholders in the regulatory drivers and functional requirements of the Operational Mapping Program
> Support business-as-usual activities in managing Operational Mapping data including the evolution of regulatory requirements in the Operational Mapping domain
> Oversee a global team of full-time employees in various locations including Budapest, Mumbai and Baltimore Required Skills:
> At least 7 years of experience within the financial services industry, or similar industries subject to comparable regulatory and legal considerations.
> An understanding of Operational Mapping or one of it's related disciplines such as Business Continuity, Vendor Management or Recovery and Resolution Planning.
> Experience of managing enterprise-wide programs in complex and dynamic business environments including driving consensus across stakeholders
> Product Owner experience in an agile development environment including driving business requirements, recurring prioritization and feedback, and user acceptance testing.
> Excellent people management skills with the ability to grow and develop talent preferably within a global team setting
Helpful/Desirable Skills:
> Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
> Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team and delegate tasks.
> Must be a self-starter and highly organized; attention to detail a must.
> Excellent analytical skills required.
> Strong written and verbal communication skills.
> Aptitude in design, both at a data level and from a user experience perspective
> Experience in use of data science, machine learning or generative AI to solve business problems

Salary range for the position: $105,000 - $170,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
