Operational Excellence Manager
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Operational Excellence Manager. This role is based out of our Greenwood, SC location. The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** • Drives the implementation of the Eaton Business System and the development of future state plans and manufacturing strategies in alignment with plant leadership goals. • Acts as the on-site Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) expert, driving the deployment of lean manufacturing techniques throughout the plant. • Provides leadership and delivers continuous improvement through Rapid Improvement Events (RIE). • Responsible for overall plant performance for Cost Out activities and meeting profit plan goals. Leads the IDB • Leads the capital expense planning and utilization strategy for the facility. Coordinates the capital planning process. • Provides and secures specific training in lean tools for new champions to meet strategic goals. • Supports and provides guidance to the VSM teams to ensure all A3 actions / active bursts meet business case needs, have established plans to meet completion timelines in the business case and have identified and are monitoring progress of key metrics from the business case. • Advises, assists and consults with the plant manager and other staff personnel on matters affecting the operation or efficiency of the plant. • Benchmark other plants and industries and recommend implementation of best practices if applicable. • As member of the leadership team drive engagement and support Eaton values and philosophy. • Lead change to improve organizational effectiveness. Drives the change management necessary to implement effective program and a continuous improvement focused culture. **Qualifications:** **Required (Basic) Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing and/or Engineering Management • 2 Years of prior experience with Lean, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence **Preferred Qualifications:** • Lean/six sigma certification • Advanced degree in business administration or engineering • Prior experience with leadership development within teams • Ability to execute organizational change • Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles, certified expert in 5S, VSM and standard work • Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and measurement techniques **Skills:** • Robust analytical skills and understanding of problem-solving techniques. • Strong knowledge of business systems and visual factory requirements to support manufacturing excellence required. • Demonstrated ability to develop Continuous Improvement strategies that align with long term vision of organization and promote a culture of continuous improvement. • Ability to communicate effectively with company personnel at all management, professional, and technical levels. Demonstrate understanding of other programs such as Eaton Business System (EBS), Eaton Lean System/Six Sigma (ELSS), Eaton Quality System (EQMS), MESH, ProLaunch NPI and STP, and ISO procedures. **Health and Safety Responsibilities** A.
