Summary:
Reporting to the Operational Excellence Team Leader the Operational Excellence Engineer will work on special continuous improvement projects related to continually reducing costs and increasing overall efficiencies; all within a fast-paced, high-growth food manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
As part of the Operational Excellence Maintenance & Reliability team, you will work on multiple continuous improvement projects related to developing a proactive, robust reliability program across the organization. Analyze information, develop and measure standard equipment performance metrics, design and optimize processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.With the team, you will develop and execute project plans for implementing novel, complex work management and material management processes for Maintenance teams.Assist in the development of dashboards to provide key insights to the maintenance program.Automate manual processes and add automatic validation measures to complex data processes.Assist in development of SOPs/procedures, conduct audits of network facilities.Create an environment which continues to foster continuous improvement and lean manufacturingEnsure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times Perform other tasks as requiredRequired Experience:
1-2 years’ of Continuous Improvement project experienceCompleted Post-Secondary education (Industrial, Mechanical, Computer, or Chemical) engineeringValid Ontario G driver license with access to a vehicleUnderstanding of maintenance and reliability best practices is an asset. Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Software systems (CMMS) is an assetExperience with VBA macros and Python is an assetExperience with data visualization/dashboard development (PowerBI, Tableau) is an assetHaving Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is an assetPrior work experience in a food manufacturing environment is an assetMust possess excellent analytical skillsMust have strong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeMust have demonstrated ability to interact with others and is adept at leading and motivating a teamFlexible to work different work schedules when neededExcellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are requiredMust be flexible, high energy and passionate in getting things doneA valid driver’s license and vehicleA valid Travel document to the US to support US facilities
