Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Operational Buyer ( Portuguese & English).
**What you’ll do:**
**Job Summary**
This position reports to the regional ES- A, DR CoE. The purpose of this positon is to support Eaton manufacturing plants and other Eaton locations in the ESA region with operational procurement activities.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Procures direct materials following plant and corporate regulations (QA, SCM).
+ Communicates and coordinates with network schedulers for plan and execution updates.
+ Understands material requirements and processes requisitions to provide purchase orders (POs) to suppliers.
+ Works closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of material to the plant.
+ Executes exception messages (postponement, anticipation, cancellation of orders) and manages internal escalations.
+ Resolves internal discrepancies with operations and external issues with suppliers (e.g., delivery issues, claims, quality issues, etc.).
+ Works closely with logistics partners and suppliers for material delivery as per Incoterms.
+ Evaluates and monitors supply performance (SOTD) and works with suppliers and category managers to implement corrective/preventive actions for on-time performance improvement.
+ Manages supplier invoices and supports the resolution of holds for timely payments.
+ Maintains inventory levels of materials in accordance with the objectives set and works with inputs from inventory analysts and network schedulers for optimized inventory levels.
+ Coordinates with Supplier Quality and suppliers for RMA of defective parts and related reverse logistics.
+ Works with Engineering, Product Managers, and CMs for phase-in/out (ECM Management).
+ Maintains relevant purchasing data (specific to price through SPIT Policy) and other purchasing data (e.g., unit price change, supplier lead time, MOQ, MOV, single/dual sourced, among others) in collaboration with the Data Health and Commodity Team.
+ Utilizes all digital tools available for SCM for maximized efficiency.
+ Responsible for sharing with the team best materials management practices, continuous improvement of processes, development of process standards, compliance with materials planning processes, and reporting in alignment with the network and global supply chain organization.
**Qualifications:**
**Education level required**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related fields
**Years and area of experience required**
+ Minimun 1-2 years of relevant experience in SCM.
+ Experience in purchasing/finance is preferred
**Technical knowledge**
+ Fully bilingual: English/ Spanish. Fluent in Portugues, German is a plus
+ Computer skills: MS Office 365, Excel - advance. Prefer PBI
+ ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Vista, BaaN)
