Context
Tahwil is the largest hazardous waste incineration plant in Saudi Arabia, which includes the production of steam to industrial players, using state of the art technology and fully in compliance with environmental regulations to provide a sustainable waste disposal route to the local industry. The project is developed under merchant approach, with an initial long term agreement to treat hazardous waste of a major industrial player in Jubail and the Plaschem Park waste streams, followed by further waste from industrial customers of Jubail industrial City area.

Detailed Job Description
Planify, organize, coordinate and manage operation activities for appropriate waste offloading, storage and preparation, incineration of hazardous waste in compliance to all levels of Health and Safety standards, Environmental regulations and the Company policies and procedures.Support the Managing Director to settle in, review the operation and maintenance organization, implement and/or upgrade the procedures, and participate in the employee recruitment for the staff under his management.Manage and lead preparation of master work schedules to reflect treatment/disposal capacities, available manpower, delivery dates of waste treatment, etc.Enforce all compliance, health and safety, and other relevant compliance issues in accordance with regulatory policies.Develop and maintain methods of communication on schedule fulfillment, delays, and/or changes in incineration and maintenance operations.Lead and supervise operation and maintenance workforce; set priorities to operation & maintenance personnel, ensuring effective use of employees to maximize daily/weekly output to meet operational objectives.Establish the operation and maintenance budgets and implement controls to keep expenditures within previously approved budgetary limitations.Participate in the development of the assets, operations and maintenance annual budget; participate in forecasting funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitor, approve and optimize expenditures; implement adjustments.Participate actively in the implementation of all asset upgrade works that are defined by the Managing Director with Veolia Business Support Teams to comply with Veolia standards. It includes the delivery of engineering study, the scope of works, BOQ, tender documents and award, work supervision, commissioning.Coordinate and/or provide training programs to ensure a high level of skill and proficiency among employees supervised and to conform with the Company health and safety guidelines as well as all environmental regulations.Prepare, weekly, and monthly operating reports.Ensure systems are in place for proper planning for all preventative maintenance activities to minimize unexpected shutdowns.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or EnvironmentalEight to ten (8-10) years minimum experience in hazardous waste or chemical processing industry with managerial and production operation required.Hazardous Waste experience with Incineration performing a broad range of operational and maintenance planning activities.Additional Information
