13225BRJob Description: United States Steel Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Lab Chemist who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory testing in support of quality and productions goals. Responsibilities: • Perform sample collection and preparation • Conduct instrumental analysis using standard laboratory equipment and techniques • Perform wet chemistry analyses in accordance with established procedures • Execute field testing within an industrial environment • Observe and evaluate physical and process parameters to support operational assessments • Interpreting and evaluating analytical data • Troubleshoot and maintain various laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance Requirements: • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry • The position requires rotating 8-hour shift work, which will include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays • Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines always.
