Job Description Operating Engineer Maintenance: - Operating at a journeyman level, performing a variety of complex services in specialized building system areas such as mechanical, electrical, HVAC, etc. - Maintains responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency. - Maintain HVAC equipment, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to ensure optimum performance. In-depth knowledge of Metasys is preferred. - Complete daily rounds, addressing lighting, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC issues found. Quality Control: - Review client service requests to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems - Complete assigned service requests and PMs before the due date - Maintain parts stock (light bulbs, flush valves, etc.) Safety: - Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment - Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace - Comply with OCP requirements, working with the Critical Ops Team as needed to ensure that requirements are met. - Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory. Monitor the quality of maintenance work performed by outside contractors, report any issues to the Manager - Identify, report, and correct safety issues. Other: - Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays (or on call) as needed. - Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes the ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc. - Compliance with all company policies and procedures and adhering to company standards. - - Perform other duties as required. - Must be able to complete a background check - Must possess a valid Driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
MINIMUM REQUIRED PREFERRED

Education/training: - High School diploma or GED equivalent, with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC. - Certification as a Universal Technician for CFCs (or within 90 days of employment) - Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office. Years of relevant experience - 3 yrs. minimum requirement/ 5+ preferred Skills and knowledge: - Ability to perform work with little to no supervision. - Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and Zoom. Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action as required. - Physical work requirements and work conditions - Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays (or on call) as needed. - Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes the ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc. Location: On-site –Kansas City, KS If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet all the requirements.
