Join a dynamic team at JLL and make an impact across two cutting-edge facilities in Louisiana. As our new Operating Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing state-of-the-art systems that keep our client's operations running smoothly.

What you'll do:

Drive innovation in operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systemsShowcase your versatility by setting up for high-profile events and meetingsTackle diverse hands-on tasks, putting your problem-solving skills to the test daily

Your base will be our advanced Lafayette facility, with weekly visits to our second site just 30 minutes away. This unique setup offers you the perfect blend of routine and variety in your work week.

Check out some of your day:

Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, cleaning, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by any licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, hanging pictures, repair office furniture, locksmith work and general maintenanceMaintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requestsMove office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, and set up for events and meetings.Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasksSupport on-call or emergency response situationsTroubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controlsComply with all safety proceduresParticipate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programsOther projects and miscellaneous tasks as needed

Who we are looking for:

Required

3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentryA valid state-issued driver’s licenseExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)Strong customer service skills

Preferred

Trade school education, union training, military service or collegeUniversal CFC EPA certification preferred

Physical environment

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tallAbility to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. with an on-call rotation every other week for one week at a time.

Pay $23-28/HR
