Summary of position:
Ability to operate, monitor and troubleshoot all the equipment and services required by the site and supplied through the utilities equipment. Perform the necessary adjustment and /or corrective action to address the situation and return the equipment to normal operation. Must have the ability to understand how the utilities operation has direct impact to plant operation.
Essentials duties & responsibilities:
Operates, evaluates and performs the necessary troubleshooting to the Utilities equipment to avoid service interruption.
Maintain working area clean and organized as per Six S (6S) program.
Use Delta V system to monitor equipment and track performance.
Perform water system analysis and record utilities performance indicator such as steam pressures, compressed air pressure and others, as defined in the monitoring logs.
Issue working permits that may include hot work permits and/or confined space entry permits.
Be an active member of the Emergency Response Brigade and attend the required trainings and Medical Surveillance requirements associated with the Brigade.

Capable of operating automatic and semi-automatic equipment
Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays
Able to interpret and convert units of measure such as temperature, pressure, flow, area, mass, distance, volumen or other
Mathematical Reasoning: Add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages as well as able to use a calculator or other associated electronic equipment
Ability to follow written procedures and / or verbal instructions communications by telephone, fax or shortwave radios
Basic machine/software platform/equipment troubleshooting skills
Profession License or Certification Required:
DOT/HAZMAT & PR Department Explosives License
