About the role:As an OpenText ECM Developer/Configurator, you will be responsible for the technical implementation and configuration of the OpenText xECM platform within a containerized environment (AKS). You will work closely with architecture, infrastructure, and business teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing document and content management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:Configure and customize OpenText xECM components, including Workspaces, Folder Structures, Metadata Models, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).Develop and configure solutions using xECM APIs and web services to support business and integration needs.Support the deployment of OpenText xECM in a containerized environment, ideally in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).Collaborate with the Architecture team to define and document conceptual, physical, and application architecture.Assist in installation and configuration of OpenText modules, including Archive Center, Viewing Services, and Migration Services in containerized setups.Work with OpenText Professional Services (PS) during installation and upgrades in a container environment.Develop scripts and automation for configuration, migration, and deployment tasks.Implement integrations with third-party systems (e.g., Email, SSO, DocuSign).Configure and maintain disaster recovery (DR) setups for the xECM environment.Administer and optimize OpenText search indexes; support backup and restore activities.Support vulnerability management and monitoring tools; apply best practices for system hardening.Raise and manage support tickets directly with OpenText when issues require escalation.Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for ongoing support and knowledge transfer.Ensure all configurations meet GDPR and other compliance requirements.Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes as part of a DevOps-driven delivery model.Qualifications:Mandatory: Certified OpenText xECM Administrator or Developer.5+ years of experience configuring and developing OpenText ECM/xECM solutions.Experience with container platforms (preferably AKS) and CI/CD pipelines.Strong understanding of Folder Taxonomy, Metadata Models, ACLs, and Workspace Design.Hands-on experience with OpenText Content Server, Archive Center, and related modules.Experience with OpenText APIs (REST, SOAP) and integration with external applications.Strong scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or other automation tools).Demonstrated experience supporting DR, backup/restore, and index optimization.Familiarity with security and monitoring tools used in enterprise environments.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently..
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Experience in insurance or other regulated industries.Familiarity with GDPR compliance in OpenText configurations.Working knowledge of OpenText smart UI extensions and widgets.Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.For CA, NY, NJ or IL: The base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $208,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
