The division oversees a regionally and internationally recognized referral center for the care of patients with all forms of pulmonary disease and critical illness. The responsibilities would include the assessment and ongoing management of patients with underlying pulmonary disease and critical illness. The provider would work closely with the physicians (including residents, fellows, and other trainees) within the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). A full-time nocturnist position is hired to work ten (12-hour shifts) per month, on average.
