Open Credit Specialist
Maxim Healthcare Corporate Services' is currently seeking an Open Credit Specialist that will research payment credits and takes appropriate actions based on type or status. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Researches payment credits on accounts to determine status, and takes appropriate action such as sales adjustments and refundsConsults with regional staff and branches prior to issuing refundsMaintains current knowledge of Managed Care and other third party insurance/health plans coverage, billing procedures, coding and policiesContacts payers or patients to obtain appropriate information for refundsCompletes required forms to process refundsReviews weekly posting of open creditsPerforms other duties as assigned/necessaryMinimum Requirements:High School degree or equivalent requiredThree (3) years of experience in Accounts Receivables within a healthcare or insurance environment preferredAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including but not limited to supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skillsQuick and accurate Alpha/numeric data entry skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Web-enabled applicationsExcellent work ethic and commitment to job responsibilitiesMust be a self-starter, with ability to work well both as part of a team and independentlyMust present a positive image that reflects well on the organizationWage/Salary Information:$20.00 per hour, with a $2,000 annual bonus potential Maxim Benefits:
