Our Data Center Mission Critical Group is seeking a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to work onsite in Amarillo, TX at a hyperscale data center project. This will be a 1 - 2 year project.

ResponsibilitiesA typical day is driven by collaboration and innovation, where you shape the future of projects by coordinating with diverse teams, solving complex technical challenges, managing budgets and schedules, and guiding your team to deliver high-quality, impactful results.
Collaboration & Coordination: Understand roles played by other disciplines and coordinate with them. Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data from othersDesign & Planning: Prepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates. Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specificationsProject Oversight & Leadership: Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. Serve as Responsible Engineer (RE) or Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) to lead project successProblem Solving & Innovation: Devise new approaches to technical problemsFieldwork & Implementation: Travel for field installation, checkout, and start-upInspections & Reporting: Review of relevant reports for third party testing and inspection agency. Periodic visual inspections of electrical systems, and instrumentation & controls systems

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited universityMinimum of 6 years of engineering design experience in data centers or similarExperience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems Data Center or mission critical construction and inspection experience preferredProfessional Engineer preferredAbility to be a lead responsible engineer for a project involving multi-discipline workMust be able to climb ladders and/or stairs at client sitesProficient with Microsoft Suite including, but not limited to, Word and ExcelExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams Additional InformationAbout ENERCON:
