Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager for a large energy/utilities client. This role has the expectation to be 5-days onsite in their Portland, OR or Salt Lake City, UT location. This individual is expected to manage the development and implementation of Information Technology projects by providing direction to a team responsible for project development including design, analysis, feasibility studies, budget, and schedule. Establishes project milestones, negotiates timelines/schedules, develops project plans, and communicates timely and relevant information.
Responsibilities:
Led cross-functional IT project teams to deliver complex software and infrastructure initiatives on time and within budget.
Manage the full project lifecycle, including scoping, estimating, scheduling, resource planning, and budgeting.
Act as the primary point of contact for multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Provide strategic consultation on IT process improvements and project design across departments.
Oversee vendor relationships, review deliverables, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, reports, and documentation to support transparency and accountability.
Proactively engage with stakeholders to manage expectations and drive the successful delivery of project milestones.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of six years of related experience resulting in demonstrated skills in project management.
Analytical and evaluation skills to define critical tasks, establish a logical sequence of events, identify individuals/teams, timelines, and outcomes, and to produce project plans.
Anticipate and resolve obstacles before they adversely impact schedule, scope, or budget.
Project management skills to develop and monitor work agreements and budgets, determine specifications, schedules, timelines, and define deliverables.
Interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate team efforts, provide guidance and direction to team members, and communicate project objectives, parameters, status, and outcomes.
Financial modeling to quantify costs and benefits of projects and to track and maintain project budgets.
Expertise in project management techniques, the companys business, applicable policies, procedures, and practices, and federal, state, and local laws.
Expertise in the use of technical applications, software (such as Microsoft Project), and other relevant tools. PMP or other professional project management certification. null
