Onsite Inventory Coordinator
The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Area Operations Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Lexington, MA

Shift: Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm

Hourly Rate: $27.00 - $28.00

What we’re looking for 

Education: High School diploma or GED Certificate is required 

Experience: Minimum 2 years of Inventory and/or Procurement experience is required 

Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred 

Work experience in a scientific environment preferable.

SAP knowledge a plus.

Excellent attention to detail.

Proven excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively.

Project management skills, ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

Serve as the primary contact for research staff regarding inventory-related issues in the laboratories.

Create, maintain, and update documentation to support service delivery, compliance, and training.

Travel between assigned sites as needed.

Support daily operations of onsite stock areas, including solvents, chemicals, and consumables.

Receive, replenish, and distribute inventory to meet user demand, using inventory management technology to track usage and optimize stock levels.

Ensure inventory requisitions are processed through the inventory management system.

Conduct regular stock checks and ensure data accuracy, including location, quantity, and value.

Troubleshoot issues with inventory systems and maintain familiarity with product lines and industry benchmarks.

Ensure non-stock goods are properly received, recorded, and communicated to end users.

Regularly enter stockrooms and lab environments to replenish items used in laboratory operations, ensuring timely availability of supplies.
