POSITION SUMMARY:
The Online Boat Sales Consultant performs various selling and customer service activities to assist boat and ATV customers in making informed buying decisions. This individual answers incoming calls, email and website sales requests from our White River Marine Group websites. This individual also facilitates product sales between manufacturing locations and company-owned or independent dealers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides industry leading customer service in all communications to promote a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.Answers incoming sales request using phone or web applications and responds to requests in a timely manner.Communicates with potential customers to determine their boating and/or ATV needs and provides information necessary to allow the customer to make an informed buying decision.Coordinates approved sale to customers’ preferred delivering dealerships.Remits club card sales for participating dealerships during sale events.Develops and tracks application status post submission and delivery.Maintains current product knowledge by using available resources (i.e., product brochures, internet, and product information training meetings). Maintains awareness of advertised items, current pricing structures and promotions.Remains current on and adheres to all selling skills training and direction.Assists in obtaining credit application and/or cash sales.Maintains complete confidentiality of all sensitive and personal information.Accurately completes all necessary paperwork required within the selling process.ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNEDEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or EquivalentPreferred Degree: Associate Degree in BusinessYears of experience: 1-2 years sales experience, preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
