Job Title: Oncology Research Navigator
Job Description
The Oncology Research Navigator will meet with patients to determine their eligibility for various studies. Once qualified, you are to secure a study slot from the sponsor. The role requires swift reading of inclusion and exclusion criteria from protocols and EMRs to ensure accurate patient placement in studies. You will serve as a liaison, coordinating communication between patients, sponsors, and physicians through EPIC, calls, and emails.
Responsibilities
+ Determine patient eligibility for studies based on pre-screening.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and Sponsors to secure study slots.
+ Read and interpret inclusion and exclusion criteria swiftly from protocols and EMRs.
+ Coordinate communication between patients, sponsors, and physicians.
+ Manage responses from physicians and other staff members.
+ Oversee 16-25 studies concurrently.
Essential Skills
+ Clinical research experience with understanding of inclusion and exclusion criteria.
+ Oncology experience with ability to interpret medical records and diagnoses.
+ Effective communication skills for liaising between patients, sponsors, and physicians.
+ Ability to utilize EMR systems, including EPIC.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Phase 1 studies is a plus.
Work Environment
This role is primarily onsite with the flexibility to work from home occasionally. The environment is fast-paced, offering opportunities to learn and collaborate closely with physicians, medical directors, and sponsors.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
