Oncology Nurse Navigator
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** **Description:** **Job Title: Oncology Nurse Navigator** **Location:** Cancer Center **Schedule:** Full Time, 40 hours/week **Shift:** Day Shift **Position Summary** The Nurse Navigator is a vital member of our multidisciplinary care team, serving as an advocate, educator, and facilitator for patients navigating complex care pathways. This role ensures that all referred patients receive high-quality, comprehensive services throughout the continuum of care. The Nurse Navigator also supports the coordination and achievement of subspecialty program goals and outcomes. **What You Will Do** + Conduct comprehensive health assessments covering physical, psychological, social, environmental, financial, and functional domains in collaboration with the care team. + Coordinate and organize timely patient appointments across specialties. + Develop and communicate treatment goals and plans aligned with evidence-based standards and clinical trials. + Collaborate directly with physician leads to review diagnostic studies and treatment history to determine the most appropriate next steps. + Participate in performance improvement initiatives, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical outcomes and processes. **What You Will Need** + **Required:** + Bachelor’s degree in Nursing + Current State of Michigan Registered Nursing License + Active BLS certification + Three years of experience in an acute care setting + One year of experience in medical, surgical, or radiation oncology + Ability to lift and perform push/pull tasks up to 35 lbs, and operate safe patient movement equipment per policy + **Preferred:** + Master’s degree in Nursing + OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification + Experience in case management or patient care leadership **Why Join Us?** You’ll be part of a compassionate, forward-thinking team dedicated to improving patient outcomes and experiences.
