Oncology Account Manager

Description

In this role, you will be an integral part of a nationwide sales team developing and managing an assigned territory. You will have the opportunity to provide patients with rare diseases with the life-changing and potentially life-saving treatment options they deserve.

Essential Requirements:BA/BS degree required, advanced degree is preferred5+ years biotech / pharmaceutical and/or Biologic/Specialty sales experience. Also consider 3+ years of high science specialty experience with complex products OR strong Oncology Device, Diagnostics or Specialty Pharmacy Oncology ExperienceOncology or Hematology experience a plusProven success in product launch and track record of sales targets and goalsExpertise in account-based selling and managing complex sales processesHighly motivated self-starter with a strong drive to succeedExcellent communication, analytics, and decision-making skillsAnalyze data and trends to create actionable business plansOwnership mentality with urgency, initiative, and proactive problem solvingPersuasive/effective communication methods to facilitate acceptance of ideas or productsSelf-starter with high performance standards and ability to work independentlyResponsibilities:Achieve and/or exceed targeted sales goals in an assigned territory by developing, implementing and executing an integrated territory business plan encompassing key accounts with the goal of maximizing salesIdentify key influencers and achieve designated customer interaction expectations with a focus on top target customersPlan and organize activities in order to achieve set call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunitiesDeliver current and comprehensive clinical brand presentations to physicians and other appropriate health care professionals to drive appropriate utilization of the productsNavigate through complex external/customer organizational structures including hospitals, IDNs, GPOs, and healthcare communities while aligning with cross-functional commercial partnersDevelop a complete understanding of the health care delivery system within each assigned customer, including the physician hierarchy, key pharmacy personnel, clinical nursing staff, etc.Develop in-depth knowledge of each assigned customer account including strategic goals, value drivers, key access stakeholders, relevant business metrics, and unique challenges/emerging needsDevelop and deepen strategic partnerships. Account interactions to include but are not limited to Oncology ‘C-suite’ executives and key population health decision makersEngage accounts proactively to achieve access in line with established sales goals
