Meaningful Work From Day One
This is a leading position within the on-trade function of Brown-Forman Spain, responsible for developing the On Trade channel strategy and delivering on key performance indicators including managing distribution volume, brand education, visibility and promotions for the B-F portfolio within the On Trade. This is also a role which requires a significant amount of influence and an ability to lead, inspire and empower a team. The role will require the ability to drive business development in the on-trade channel as well as creating, implementing and executing the national and regional on-trade strategy for Brown-Forman Spain.
You will establish effective and trusted business partnerships across the B-F organization and nurture a team culture capable of developing a team that will grow in capability, delivering first-class execution within the managed on trade channel.
What You Can Expect
On-Trade Channel Strategy
Developing and executing the On Trade channel strategy based on priorities & objectives
Communicates the channel’s vision and provides strategic inputs to other departments in the company
Maximize B-F Brands’ share of voice within the On Trade/Wholesale channel
Grow market share within the On Trade channel of B-F Portfolio
Business Partnering
Define/improve strategic relationship with customers
Ensure effective communication between Marketing, trade marketing and On Trade teams to ensure perfect execution of the Channel and customer strategy
Commercial & Strategic Planning
Develop account plan ensuring it delivers sustainable value growth, promotional activity, visibility, logistics and financial information along with KPIs for measuring results
Support sales leadership team in developing and definitions annual plans
Develop and communicate annual commercial strategy and work to align with the overall Spain commercial strategy including goals and KPIs.
Work with Trade Marketing team to develop annual promotional plans
Lead the Team on the annual negotiations.
Partner with Finance to manage annual budgets
Business Planning and Analysis
Cooperate with Brand Managers, the Sales Force and Finance in planning and budgeting processes, ensuring the integration of the Brown-Forman brand strategies into the On Trade channel strategy
Executing and evaluating annual On Trade promotion activity plan aligned to brand plans and delivering maximum return on investment
Provides leadership team with regular brand status reports
Team Management & Development
Provides strong leadership and direction to the team
Acts as a role model of B-F values and culture
Helps design and ongoing improvement of the structure of the On Trade channel team, consistent focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency of field sales staff;
Leads a diverse and inclusive culture where different perspectives are encouraged, and individuals feel connected and valued
In collaboration with HR department, identify the organizational capability gaps and addresses them through appropriate learning and development programs
Supports team development by providing opportunities and coaching to the team with on-going appreciative & constructive feedback
Feed a winning and caring culture in the team, effectively leverage the performance management process.
Engages the team in company’s visions and directions and motivate the team to make active contribution
Ensures effective training and development
What You Bring to the Table
Experience: 10 years experience in FMCG industry, preferably spirits / image products
Understanding of On premise channel dynamics and structure
Fluent in Spanish & English, both spoken and written
Great analytical skills, commercially savvy and solution focused to solving problems
Superior communication skills (influencing, listening, presentations, written)
Ability to build strong relationships at all levels with strong stakeholder awareness
Collaborative team player, with conflict management skills
Adaptable, flexible and resilient
IT literate - MS Office applications & Google applications
What Makes You Unique
Excellent presentation skills and translating sales information in a clear, concise and visually appealing way
Strong business acumen and judgment along with strategic capabilities
Experience in project management, strategy execution and negotiation.
Self-starter with proven ability to identify issues and projects, plan and prioritize with demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects to completion by specific deadlines
