**DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented On Site Service Technician - Level II to join our team specializing in Service for our Service Operations Department in Tarkwa, Ghana.

+ Deliver Reliable On-Site RepairsBy diagnosing and completing less complex engine repairs directly at the customer’s site, you ensure minimal downtime and keep their operations running smoothly.

+ Support Continuous ImprovementYour detailed documentation of service activities, warranty claims, and quality issues contributes to data-driven improvements in service delivery and product reliability.
+ Promote Safety and Environmental ResponsibilityBy adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and reporting incidents, you help maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
+ Contribute to Root Cause AnalysisYour support in investigating preliminary engine failures helps identify systemic issues early, contributing to better product design and customer satisfaction.
+ Maintain Operational ReadinessThrough daily inspections, tool maintenance, and driving duties, you ensure that both your equipment and yourself are always ready to respond efficiently to customer needs.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
+ Strong Diagnostic and Troubleshooting SkillsYou must be able to translate customer complaints into actionable diagnostic plans, using guided workflows, service tools, and software to isolate and resolve issues efficiently and accurately.
+ Proficiency with Electronic Service ToolsSuccess in this role requires familiarity with Cummins’ suite of electronic diagnostic tools and the ability to interpret their outputs to guide repair decisions and service actions.
+ Deep Understanding of Engine SystemsYou need to understand how various engine systems interact—mechanical and electrical—to accurately diagnose faults and perform effective repairs using service publications and measurement tools.
+ Attention to Detail in Documentation and EscalationAccurate and thorough documentation of service activities, technical findings, and escalation steps is essential for warranty processing, historical tracking, and seamless team collaboration.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Education/ Experience:
+ Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred)
+ Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
+ Current relevant electrical certification (optional)
+ Locally valid driving permit
+ Basic level field service work experience
+ Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products
+ High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional)
+ Customer service experience
+ This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
